Presentation

The Soult trail winds through the woods overlooking the village of L'Estréchure. It passes near the Liron massif and offers viewpoints at altitudes of over 750 meters. Fir, pine, oak, and especially chestnut trees form a typical forest.

The Soult trail, in old French "source", leads into the woods overlooking the village of Estréchure.

This 10 km trail allows you to discover places steeped in history, the Château de l'Hom, beautiful views of the villages of Saumane and l'Estréchure as well as the hamlet of La Bécédelle, a typical habitat of the Cévennes valleys.
The trail leads away from the houses as it climbs into the forest, and you'll soon be treated to splendid scenery as you ascend. You'll pass through dense forests of chestnut trees, once cultivated, as well as oaks and conifers planted during reforestation efforts. Enjoy your walk!
