The Cévennes, the village of Lasalle, a Monday morning, market day
Off we go with Gregory, we're taking the car to Lasalle, Monday, market day, and Greg has never been there, so I'm going to be his guide. Swimsuit in the trunk because I have a little swimming spot I want to show him!
The road zigzags and winds, but the view... Wonderful!
Parking space found, here we are walking along this long main street to arrive at the market, colours, music, stalls from all over the world: food, clothes, books, crafts… even a photo booth truck!!
Once our baskets were full, it was time for a break and the bar in the square seemed ideal for listening to the musicians and finally nibbling on those onion fritters we bought at the market!
It's so hot that a swim is a must, so we head to the Salendrinque, the river that runs alongside the village! We continue our walk along this main street and there, surprise! – well, for Gregory – and for me, it's always a joy to rediscover this magical place right in the heart of the village, yet so natural!!!
After swimming, we settled down on a large rock for an afternoon of reading by the water with a view of the village. What a lovely day.
