The Col de la Serreyrède is a key passage point in the Massif de l'Aigoual: it is a crossroads where many hiking trails start and major routes pass through (Chemin de Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, GR and the Tour du Mont Aigoual GR66).
The watershed between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea divides slopes with contrasting landscapes.
The Maison de l'Aigoual is a tourist information center for the Cévennes National Park and houses an exhibition hall.

This snowshoe trail winds through the forest atmosphere of the Bois de Miquel. Points of interest: the Croix du Col de la Serreyrède, the Pierre Plantée, and panoramic views over the Vallée du Bonheur and the Hérault valley.
