Lanuéjols invites you to a 3-day family cycling trip to explore the Causse Noir, Dargilan, Bramabiau and Randals Bison.
Bike ride on the Causse Noir
Take the time to discover the Causse Noir by bike via three beautiful loops starting from Lanuéjols. Between vast landscapes, quiet roads and iconic sites, this route invites you to combine the pleasure of cycling, gourmet breaks and must-see visits.
Day 1 — Dargilan's Cave
30 km – 340 m elevation gain – approximately 2 hours
From Lanuéjols, head north on the D47a towards Les Mazes, then follow the D47c to the Dargilan cave, which you reach at kilometer 9. Continue then on the D584 to Veyreau, then Vessac, before turning left after the village to take the D29 then the D28 and return to Lanuéjols.

The Dargilan cave is one of the major natural sites of the Causse Noir and is an unmissable stop.
Day 2 — Randals Bison
23 km – 150 m elevation gain – approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
From Lanuéjols, take the D47 towards Trèves for 2,5 km, then turn right onto the D159 towards Revens. You can visit the Randals Bison farm and, depending on the time of day, enjoy a meal there. The return journey follows the same route.
This iconic ranch in Lanuéjols offers the opportunity to discover American bison in a vast area of the Causse Noir.
Day 3 — The Bramabiau Abyss
25 km – 350 m elevation gain – approximately 1 hour 45 minutes
From Lanuéjols, follow the D263 for 3 km towards Meyrueis, then turn right onto the D986 to reach Camprieu. Take a break at Lac du Bonheur at kilometer 13, before continuing to the Abîme de Bramabiau, in Saint-Sauveur-Camprieu.
This spectacular underground river offers a remarkable visit to the heart of the mountain range.
