Presentation

Viv'Alto organizes "La Fête de l'Alto", a festival at the end of August (masterclasses, concerts, exhibitions…), two academies in April and October ((masterclasses and concerts) as well as educational interventions in schools in the territory.

Since 2013, the VIV'ALTO association has aimed to promote openness to the artistic and cultural world, to provide access to classical music for audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and to develop social connections through all musical genres. To this end, it organizes events designed to encourage the discovery and learning of classical music.

The prestigious concerts of the 1st "Fête de l'Viole" immediately won over the public.
Every year in August, the "Fête de l'Alto," our flagship event, attracts an ever-growing audience. It's an intense week in terms of work and emotions, mobilizing around thirty volunteers on the ground.

In April, since 2018, the Spring Academy hosts 5 masterclasses and 2 concerts.
Of note is a masterclass on "Music Composition for Film" led by Julien Bellanger.

Since October 2023, the "Autumn Sonata" Academy has been welcoming established groups (duos, trios, quartets...) for a work program dedicated to chamber music; two concerts conclude this academy.

The year's concerts under the title "Viv'Alto Mania", and in particular the "Young Talents" concerts, aim to give a leg up to musicians awarded by national and international juries.
We are committed to helping them launch a professional career by giving them the opportunity to perform for audiences of music lovers. It's a great pleasure to hear these young people give their all!

Pierre-Henri Xuereb provides the musical direction for our events. He strives to vary the styles and genres and to educate the public by offering contemporary scores.
He also likes to bring together different artistic practices around music, such as dance, cinema, poetry, engraving...

Our actions are supported by
the DRAC, the Occitanie Region, the Gard Department, the Causse Aigoual Cévennes-Terres solidaires Community of Municipalities, the Lasalle Town Hall,
and by donors, members and volunteers.
Thank you all.
