Discover the Church of Sainte Marie Madeleine in Laroque! A treasure of cultural heritage, this historical monument will captivate lovers of religious architecture.

Located outside the walls, it was built at the end of the 12th century to compensate for the chapel's small size.

St. John. From the 14th to the end of the 17th century, during the period of the religious wars, parish worship returned to the St. John chapel protected by the ramparts.

A victim of the Reformation, it was dismantled and the French Revolution saw it used as a hayloft and sheepfold.

It was raised in 1898 to prevent flooding from the Hérault river.

Since then it has remained the parish church of Laroque, even though the St. John chapel is still consecrated.
