Presentation

Discover the heritage of the Cévennes region; Saint-André once boasted five silk mills. You'll pass near the Château de Nogaret, perched on the mountainside. A little further on, you'll find the ruins of the Rougeiresque forest farm, nestled in the vegetation. Enjoy the tranquility!

Escale Trail

A gentle climb along the small road to Nogaret Castle (private property, not open to the public). The view opens up towards Fageas and the Col de Tinquos, which can be seen above the village. The path continues through ancient chestnut trees, some 300 years old, to an old reservoir, the "Serre Reservoir." A little further on, look for the old "Rougeiresque" forester's lodge, now completely hidden by vegetation.
Return to the village of Saint-André-de-Valborgne via the back of the temple.
