In the heart of the hamlet of Saint-Sauveur-des-Pourcils, come and discover one of the seven arboretums in the Aigoual massif, the result of a major reforestation program carried out at the end of the 19th century.

This hamlet now appears abandoned in its dense forest setting. Yet Saint-Sauveur-des-Pourcils reveals a rich and intense history. Among the hundred or so species of trees in the arboretum, you can discover exotic varieties.
Saint-Sauveur-des-Pourcils was one of the large agricultural estates of Mont Aigoual, purchased by the forestry administration at the end of the 19th century. The hamlet consists of only a church and a few buildings, including an imposing farmhouse resembling a castle. Nearby, the walk continues through part of the arboretum, showcasing a wide variety of tree species and some remarkable specimens.
