Caumette Pass Trail

A path crossing the beautiful beech forest of Aigoual and its array of flora.

Admire the lovely panorama over the Vallée du Bonheur (Valley of Happiness) and set off on an easy hike, sheltered by beech trees. As you walk through this beautiful forest, take the time to listen to the birdsong. You might even spot a black woodpecker. Early risers will have the opportunity to encounter local wildlife: deer, roe deer, mouflon, rodents...
You will cross the Alti Aigoual station at the Prat-Peyrot pass before descending back to the Maison de l'Aigoual, your starting point.
Please note that if you use this trail in winter, it passes over cross-country ski trails; to avoid damaging the grooming, you must walk on the edge of the trail.
