Céline Pialot"The Beech Grove" Discovery Trail
L'Esperou
The Trévezel trail takes you in the footsteps of botanists and foresters around a wetland and its unique characteristics. This trail is very easy to access if you have limited time or are a great activity for families, and is suitable for young children.
Discovery Trail: The Aigoual forest, severely degraded at the beginning of the 19th century, underwent a major reforestation program that began in 1859. This reforestation, which radically transformed the landscape, relied on new knowledge acquired locally and implemented by foresters, as well as botanists. This trail follows in their footsteps... Trees of the massif, peat bog, black woodpecker, Tengmalm's owl, drovers' roads and transhumance... so many discoveries await you on the Trévezel interpretive trail.
