Beatrice GalzinMouflon Trail
The Plantiers
The village of Les Plantiers is a charming town, where time stretches out... it is pleasant to relax along the Gardon river or on the terrace of the bistro.
Come and discover the water house, and participate in the activities that Rosine offers.
Les Plantiers, a small village in the heart of the Cévennes, below the Pas, Espinasse and Asclier passes. The village is crossed by two streams, and a lake has been created with supervised swimming in July and August.
Come and relax on Julien's terrace in the village square while some people play pétanque!
The Maison de l'Eau, our small ecomuseum open from May to September, invites you to discover the wonderful and magical world of each stone in the river or along a path.
The marked trails will lead you to the ridges overlooking the Cévennes. The paths you take pass through old hamlets where you can still understand the living spaces and dwellings.
Points of interest:
- The village values and maintains its heritage, including the Romanesque church of Saint Marcel de Fontfouilhouse (12th century),
- Hiking trails with magnificent panoramas (Pas pass, Asclier pass and its sheep bridge, Bomperrier drovers' road).
- The Maison de l'Eau ecomuseum, a natural and cultural heritage site linked to water resources, organizes guided tours as well as numerous activities for all audiences.
