"La Filature du Mazel" aims to develop a place for the creation of live performances, visual arts, plastic arts, writing and all other artistic creations.

La Filature du Mazel is a bearer of artistic projects and participates in the cultural development of the territory of the Communauté de Communes Causses Aigoual Cévennes - Terres Solidaires and its influence beyond.

Its mission encompasses the performing arts, visual arts, and public reading, supporting artist residencies by providing a production space for creative work. It welcomes individual artists for their personal projects or collectives for collaborative works, fostering exploration, sharing, and the exchange of diverse techniques and areas of experimentation. It also supports writers' residencies, offering writing opportunities that resonate with the local area, the region, and the ten libraries of the Communauté de Communes (inter-municipal community). Its mission is supported by the DRAC (Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs), the Occitanie Region, and the Gard Department.
