Museum Overview

In the Cévennes National Park, embark on a singing and rhythmic hike in the heart of nature, experiencing the acoustics of natural places while encountering preserved landscapes and beautiful people.

Singers hiking in the great outdoors

This musical journey is for anyone who is attracted to and intrigued by singing, voice, and rhythm, whether they are not musicians, readers, or even singers! We all have the ability to make music with ease.
The idea is to (re)discover the pleasure of singing and music, to explore one's voice, the musical possibilities of the body, and to combine nature with this discovery: group singing, circle songs, discovering body percussion…

Day 1: Le Vigan – Salagosse

Our team welcomes you to Les Castas in the chestnut grove from 14 pm onwards, where we'll take you to Bruno's yurt builder and passionate gardener. It's here that we'll begin our musical journey. After a tour of the property, settling in, and perhaps a first dip in the river, the afternoon will be dedicated to singing and rhythm. A chance to get to know each other and kick off the trip! Enjoy a warm evening with dinner prepared by our host, followed by a concert from your guides as night falls: singing, violin, charango, guitar, and percussion. Then, spend the night in a yurt in an enchanting setting, surrounded by a magical forest. Welcome!

Day 2: Salagossa – Pisa
9 km
+ 650m
4h30 of walking

In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, you'll set off on your first day of hiking, which will take you to the Lingas mountain. Following the cobbled paths (calades), you'll gain altitude and admire the natural beauty of the Cévennes region. Crossing through several forests of oak, beech, and conifers, your day will be punctuated by musical moments, played and sung, in various locations where echoes and resonances will allow you to experience new sensations. You'll walk in silence, listening to the beauty of nature: music begins with listening. In the late afternoon, we'll reach our campsite. After setting up camp together, enjoy a beautiful night in the heart of nature. Weather permitting, Okwari will offer you the opportunity to explore the sky and observe the stars, as you are in an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Day 3: Les Pises – La Condamine
9 km
+ 120m
- 190 m
3h30 of walking

Clara will lead you through an outdoor body awakening and sound yoga in our Berber tent, a perfect way to start the day! After packing up camp, you'll continue your trek, exploring the summer pastures, peat bogs, and Lake Pises, while Okwari will guide you in observing the small wildlife of the high-altitude meadows. A lovely singing session will take place after lunch, and you'll cross to the other side of the mountain: a breathtaking panorama of the Blue Mountains unfolds before you, stretching all the way to the Mediterranean… You'll then set up camp with almost professional precision. After preparing dinner together, enjoy a beautiful musical evening in the heart of nature, under the stars.

Day 4: La Condamine – Mas Bresson
10 km
+ 305m
- 492 m
3h30 of walking

For those who are keen, we can meet for a yoga session. After a good breakfast, you'll experience singing while walking, accompanied by the rhythm and sound of your steps. You'll gain altitude and arrive at Mont Cauvalat (1,427 m), the highest point of your journey!
A gentle descent with a singing break leads to Mas Bresson in the late afternoon. For this last evening at the gîte, you can relax and enjoy an indoor singing session and a delicious meal served by our hosts.

Day 5: Mas Bresson – Le Vigan

This morning will be dedicated to a wonderful singing workshop to bring this stay to a beautiful close. Return transfer at 14 pm to Le Vigan, where your stay will end.
