In the heart of the Cévennes, the Festival du Vigan has been shining for almost half a century on a region that has managed to retain all its beauty and preserve the authenticity of its culture.
In the heart of the Cévennes, the Festival du Vigan has been shining for almost half a century on a region that has managed to retain all its beauty and preserve the authenticity of its culture.
Spread throughout the summer, the concerts take place in the sub-prefecture of Gard, but also in the temples and churches clinging to the slopes of Mont Aigoual (1.567 m). This offers music lovers the opportunity to discover magical places, steeped in history and legend, whose small size creates a certain intimacy between them and the artists.
Without specialization or particular theme, the Festival du Vigan has always wanted to offer a wide range in its programming, from recitals to large symphonic concerts, and from baroque music to contemporary creations.
