Aqua-rand'eau, an activity on the rise!
The upper reaches of the Dourbie Gorges and the Tapoul Gorges are ideal for this activity, perfect for those hesitant to try canyoning. It involves descending the rivers by swimming or walking on the rocks.

Jumps and slides enhance the course, which becomes a veritable natural water park.

The summer heat makes these aquatic hikes very pleasant moments, accessible to everyone, including children.

And what about canyoning?
As soon as the river configuration no longer allows jumping but requires the use of ropes and the practice of rappelling, aquatic hiking becomes Canyoning.

The Tapoul Gorges, the Bramabiau near Mont Aigoual, the Orgon Waterfalls, the Chassezac and Hérault Gorges are ideal for this activity open to all.

Tapoul Canyoning
The Tapoul canyon is located between the village of Les Rousses and Mont Aigoual. The descent takes approximately 3 hours. The canyon is unique in that it features progressive jumps and increasing difficulty. You'll have the opportunity to learn rope techniques (abseiling, aerial handrails). The descent begins with a small jump followed by a natural water slide. After a series of jumps and slides, a 25-meter zip line awaits you, offering a refreshing finish.

Bramabiau Canyoning
Located downstream from the Bramabiau chasm, an underground canyon carved by the "Underground River of Happiness," the descent takes approximately two hours, with a 15-minute walk to the start of the route. The route is easy; after crossing a few small rocks by jumping into the water and swimming through pools, it becomes more vertical with natural slides and a 10-meter waterfall. Many of the jumps can be repeated. The return trip takes another 15 minutes.

Canyoning is a great introduction to whitewater. The canyon is located 40 km from Millau. After a 5-minute walk, slide down the natural water slides and enjoy a series of small jumps for nearly 3 hours. The biggest jump reaches up to 8 meters high.
