Hervé MailléHotel Le Bel Air
Lanuejols
Along this trail, discover a very agricultural village, a restored dovecote, the flora of the limestone plateaus, Neolithic people, and the story of the three bishops. A very easy hike, perfect for families.
The atmosphere of the Causse is spectacular, with its vast, arid expanses and profound silence. A few burning bushes and boxwoods lend the landscape its stark authenticity. The hamlet of Les Mazes lies on the Causse Noir. Here, the land is barren, and sheep reign supreme. And what about the three bishops? Around 1790, when the departments were created, the three bishops of Gard, Lozère, and Aveyron met and erected this cross at their borders.
