Valescure Discovery Trail
In the commune of Peyrolles, the Valescure trail winds alongside streams, some of whose ancient structures have been restored. Here, you'll discover the significant work undertaken by people to cultivate the land under difficult conditions and retain water. A shaded route through the Vallée Borgne state forest.

Nestled along the banks of the Gardon River, the Vallée Borgne offers an exceptional setting for discovering the natural beauty and history of the Cévennes region. Water plays a central role here, and each of the suggested trails allows you to contemplate it from a different perspective. These excursions can be complemented by a visit to the Maison de l'Eau (Water House).
To reach the trailhead: upstream from the Peyrolles bus shelter, take the road that descends towards the Gardon river, and follow the road to the end. Parking is available before the turnaround area – do not park in the turnaround area.
