This walk invites you to explore the first foothills of the Cévennes, where the limestone of the piedmont comes to rest on the granite slopes of the Mont Liron massif.
In this southern "Cévennes", clinging over a considerable area, are the historic farmhouses and hamlets of Soudorgues, a land of religious resistance.
The summit of Mauripe, less than 20 km from Mont Aigoual as the crow flies, overlooks them, offering the climbing visitor a breathtaking, plunging view, a 360° reward...
