In the heart of the cool Salindrenque valley, Lasalle is characterized by the richness of its typical Cévennes architecture and its numerous castles.

Lasalle is a typical village of the Cévennes valleys, built on the banks of the Salindrenque river.
Along picturesque roads, you will discover unspoiled nature, history and its moving vestiges, a unique and endearing Cévennes culture.
The town has just been awarded the "Green Resort" label thanks to its nature tourism, which is authentic, human and respectful of the environment.

From the 11th century onwards, Benedictine monks created a monastery on a promontory, La Mouthe and agricultural establishments - La Cella = Lasalle.
Having converted early to Protestantism, Lasalle was the cradle of the preachers of the Reformation who held the first assemblies of the Desert as early as January 1686.

Several silk mills, now disused or converted, bear witness to its rich industrial past.
Numerous castles and manor houses overlook the Salindrenque valley.**

The 19th-century temple has a semi-circular exterior shape intersected by a neoclassical-style peristyle.
Alphonse Daudet stayed there...
