Located near the Tarn Gorges, at the foot of Mont Aigoual (1567 meters) and the Grands Causses, in the Cévennes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Meyrueis's privileged geographical location makes it the starting point for numerous outdoor activities and diverse sightseeing opportunities.
As a family, you will enjoy and discover this environment through outdoor activities and sports, such as hiking, canoeing, kayaking, off-road scootering, canyoning and via ferrata.
Our family holiday is tailored to the age of your children, the pace of family holidays, and is supervised by local professionals.

You will stay in a comfortable family cottage, with a swimming pool, offering hearty local cuisine, located just a short walk from the village.
During your free time, you can enhance your week with swimming in rivers, various visits (Dargilan Caves, Aven Armand, Bramabiau Abyss, Vulture House, Climatograph and observatory of Mt Aigoual…) not forgetting the many activities in the village (markets, concerts…).

Hiking on the Corniches du Causse Méjean.
A route overlooking the Tarn and Jonte Gorges. You will enjoy numerous panoramas (Tarn Valley, Vase de Sèvres, Vase de Chine, Balcon du Vertige, Rocher Francbouteille…) and will very likely encounter the majestic flight of griffon and monk vultures.

Descent of Mount Aigoual on an all-terrain scooter
From Mont Aigoual, the highest point in the southern Cévennes at 1567 meters, to Meyrueis. Hike approximately fifteen kilometers of trails and forest paths with a descent of over 700 meters. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views (Grands Causses, Mediterranean Sea, Aubrac plateau, Mont Ventoux...).
Off-road scootering, contrary to what you might think, is an activity truly accessible to all: men, women, children, who want to enjoy descents at their own pace in a family setting, and those who are more addicted to thrills.

Canoe and kayak trip down part of the Tarn Gorges
In a canoe or kayak, you'll navigate the most enclosed, narrowest, and most beautiful section of the Tarn River. Rapids, calm stretches, and boulder fields offer a diverse landscape. Paddling will take you through the heart of the Straits. Finally, you'll arrive at the Cirque des Baumes at the foot of the Point Sublime. The trip is at your own pace, without an instructor.
Swimming, water games, sunbathing, and unique landscapes will all be part of it.

Via ferrata in the heart of the Cévennes National Park
Imagine yourself suspended above the void, surrounded by majestic landscapes…
On a via ferrata, thrills are part of the experience! The vertiginous cliffs of the Tarn and Dourbie gorges, the Causse Méjean plateau, and Mont Aigoual offer breathtaking views and a good dose of adrenaline. Here for some sport? We suggest adding a little spice to your adventure. How about rope bridges, walkways, and zip lines?
