Le Vigan (via the greenway)
3 departments: Gard, Hérault and Aveyron –
via the Causse de Blandas.
From Le Vigan, head up onto the Causse plateau via Avèze and Montdardier on the D48s, then continue towards Blandas (D113) and Vissec. Taking the D113b, you will enter the Hérault department towards Sorbs and its castle, then Le Cros and Le Caylar (be sure to see the sculpted tree in the town square).
Take the D609 towards La Couvertoirade (Aveyron) which you will leave on your right (if you have time go and visit this fortified Templar village).
At the intersection of the D7 take the right towards Sauclières and the Col de la Barrière where you will cross back into the Gard – take the D270 on your right towards Campestre then the D489 to go back down to Alzon.
The D999 will take you back to La Vigan (note that the D158c to avoid the tunnel is prohibited for bicycles) with a greenway ending from Arre and the Eiffel Bridge.
