Mountain biking area of the Aigoual Massif - Circuit 3 - Draille descent
The summit of Mont Aigoual, straddling the Gard and Lozère departments, rises to an altitude of 1567 meters. It is home to the last inhabited mountain weather station in France. This place is distinguished by its extreme conditions of wind, rainfall, and snow… but also by its exceptional 360° panoramic views!
This downhill route, from Mont Aigoual to the village of L'Espérou, offers a variety of landscapes, alternating between paths and trails, within the vast Aigoual forest. Points of interest include: the Aigoual weather station, the 360° panoramic view of the Cévennes mountains, the "Balcons de l'Aigoual" discovery trail, and its Land Art installation.
